Bamburgh Castle

I’ve wanted to visit this beautiful castle since watching The Last Kingdom on Netflix. This is the famous Bebbanburg what Uhtred wanted to recapture so badly during the whole series. It was absolutely worth the 3-hour long drive from the Lake District.

The top of England: Scafell Pike

We love hiking and we love the mountains. We were in Lake District, Scafell Pike is there too, so… πŸ˜€ We climbed the three peaks (ok, not in 24 for hours, but a little bit more than a year). Our favourite is Ben Nevis, the second is Scafell Pike and the bronze medalist is Snowdon…

Lake District, my favourite type of summer holiday, part 1

We almost cancelled the whole trip due to the weather forecast (80-100% rain every day) but thanks to our Liverpool weekend (the plan was that Tomi and GergΕ‘ would collect us on Monday as it’s not much out of the way to Lake District), we didn’t. The second we arrived it started to rain. Heavily….

Liverpool: a friendly game at Anfield

First of all, we do not talk about the result… πŸ˜€ It was a tight schedule for us. After Amsterdam, we went back to Budapest, collected our babies teenagers (ok, Balint is not a teenager but sometimes I feel he is) and flew back to London. I was pretty nervous due to the news of…

Greenwich, Emirates Cable Car (again)

Now, as I have time (I am a couch potato thanks to Covid, I have no energy but am bored as hell) to run through my old pictures, I found some lovely memories. In May our friends from Hungary visited us for a long weekend so we turned the touristy mode on and went to…

Once upon a time in Liverpool

there was a team. Well, there is a team! πŸ™‚ After a thrilling, nerve-racking, mind-wrenching, joyful, tearful, unforgettable season we finally got the trophy parade. This team was close to winning everything. The unimaginable (it’s not unimaginable anymore) quadruple. We all know what happened and we were laughed at because after that Champions League final…

Exploring the UK – Wales, Snowdonia

This was our second attempt. The first time, when we went to Liverpool for a 5-day long holiday, the weather was less satisfactory (there was a big storm) so we didn’t drive to Wales. This time we went to Liverpool again because of the trophy parade (my next post – stay tuned :D) and my…
